Trailer Park Group turned to Bria's responsible models and APIs to create a safe-gen AI solution that could transform their approach to film promotion.
Build a Responsible AI Solution That Replicates Beetlejuice IP, Preserves User Identity, and Generates Personalized Outputs.
Trailer Park Group, a leading entertainment, marketing, and content production agency, was tasked with an innovative challenge: use AI to create an immersive user-generated content (UGC) campaign that would give people a taste of the “Afterlife” and allow fans to embody the world of Beetlejuice. To revolutionize their approach to movie marketing, Trailer Park Group needed to build a Gen AI solution that could:
Using Bria’s Tailored Generation Models and APIs, Trailer Park Group and Bria developed two pipelines that could render four distinct “Afterlife” portraits inspired by the movie’s iconic visual style. Users could upload their selfies to a portal where Bria’s pipelines would generate portraits that maintained the essence of the users’ original facial features while reflecting the aesthetic of unique Beetlejuice characters.
Bria’s foundation models, trained on 100% fully licensed, safe, and commercial-grade imagery, ensured that Trailer Park’s solution provided high-quality and risk-free outputs for the family-friendly campaign.
This process employed a tailored generation pipeline that manipulated users’ faces to shrink their heads to match one of the movie’s characters, Bob. Bria’s model first segmented users’ faces and removed the background. Using a Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA), the pipeline applied the shrunken effect to users’ faces before inpainting the users’ hair, clothing, and other features to ensure a cohesive transformation that preserved key user characteristics.
To create the three additional characters, Bria and Trailer Park's developers leveraged the Bria 2.3 text-to-image foundation model with advanced control mechanisms and fine-tuning capabilities. The pipeline combined multiple AI techniques - including LoRA adaptations, ControlNets, and precise parameter controls - enabling accurate character transformations while preserving identity. By fine-tuning these parameters, the team achieved high-quality outputs that balanced the movie's distinct style elements while maintaining users' core facial features and demographic characteristics.

The pipelines then underwent comprehensive benchmarking. Using a statistically representative sample group, outputs were examined iteratively until quality assurance metrics exceeded target thresholds for accurate rendering of gender, age, race, and ethnicity. Bria’s team also optimized the pipeline’s auto-scaling functionality to handle usage peaks.
In conjunction with Future Foundry, which ran the front-end development, the teams integrated Bria’s pipelines into an easy-to-use web application where users uploaded selfies. The integration, hosted on AWS, ensured the platform was scalable, secure, and capable of handling the high volume of requests with minimal latency.

Bria’s pipelines ensured Trailer Park’s AI solution adhered to their customer’s strict brand and IP guidelines.
Unique image preservation pipelines ensured users’ core facial attributes remained recognizable and protected against bias or ethical concerns.
The project’s scalable AWS infrastructure facilitated high traffic volumes with minimal latency.
Launched in late July, Trailer Park Group’s “Welcome to the Afterlife Generator” became a viral sensation. Photos were widely shared across social media platforms, driving excitement for the release date and engaging millions of fans worldwide. The campaign will run for the year and continue entertaining fans through the film’s run in theaters and on streaming platforms.
